性别 & 性资源中心 (GSRC) is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive campus 为 all students, while advocating 为 and celebrating those identities that have historically been and continue to be marginalized. Exploring privileges and oppressions is at the heart of our mission, and in so doing–and with a focus on intersectionality–we engage the campus community in ways that create room 为 understanding and empowerment.

The GSRC staff provides resources, 支持, and programming in collaboration with existing departments, 咨询委员会, 组织, and offices; we foster an inclusive campus environment through the development and sponsorship of intellectual, 个人, 文化项目.

Award winning staff and interns
UW-欧克莱尔 has a 5-Star Premiere rating by Campus Pride. In 2023, Campus Pride partnered with Best 大学 and named UW-欧克莱尔 among the Top 25 schools in the nation and the top school in the state of Wisconsin (为 a fourth consecutive year), joining an elite group of 15 schools nationwide to make both lists.

Each summer, we bring a cohort of students to San Francisco's Frameline Film Festival. 在两周的时间里, 身临其境的体验, we collectively screen hundreds of films, examine intersectional queerness in one of America's most beautiful cities (with a storied queer past), 参加旧金山骄傲节. When we return, our students curate a 5-day queer film festival on campus–Q-Fest!

Plantapalooza!
New students who've elected to participate in the Rainbow Floor Living Learning 社区 participate in 启动, 我们(免费!) 3天提前入住计划. Each of the three days is packed with opportunities 为 incoming students to meet friends, 探索资源, acclimate to campus be为e all students return–and have fun! Plantapalooza is a student favorite: choose your plant, your pot, and your paint!

每年, UW-欧克莱尔 hosts 火球, a drag ball extravaganza the likes of which you've never seen. Per为mers from around the 美国 come together 为 two nights of fierce entertainment. 火球 audience–1500 strong over two days–支持s Queer students at UW-欧克莱尔 through academic scholarships, 应急资金, and sponsorship of our 校园丰收食品储藏室. Though we celebrate our Queer students year round, National Coming Day is special. 全国出柜日 is a day to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and the process of coming out–wherever you are on your journey. 我们爱你本来的样子!
